Q. How can I keep my costs down when moving to France?
A. There are a couple of ways you can do that. Unlike most removal companies, because we specialise in France we simply go there more often than most. This enables us to offer a flexi service where we can save you money. In return, all we ask is for you to give us as much notice as possible and allow us some flexibility in arranging your delivery date around our operational schedules.
Q. How safe will my possessions be?
A. Your effects will be very safe! Our trucks are always manned by our own crews. The trucks themselves are tracked by us 24 hours a day – at any time you ask us we can pinpoint their location within a few metres. We can communicate at all times with the crew via in-cab satellite communications equipment and by GSM telephone. The trucks are solid bodied and always locked and padlocked. Last but not least, your effects are of course fully insured door to door.
Q. Can you store my goods while my new home in Europe is being completed?
A. Yes of course. We store our client’s effects in various ways, depending on the term required. Short term, we can store in our demountable truck container bodies and longer term in steel or wood containers within our secure warehouse.
Q. Is Channelmoving part of a large organisation?
A. No! We are an independent specialist company and our aim is to combine the personal service of a family company with an absolute commitment to quality and attention to detail. You will find a very personal response to your enquiry and we often get to know our clients very well!
Q. Is Channelmoving monitored by any regulatory bodies?
A. Yes we are, not only by law (as a transport company we have to be properly licensed and qualified to carry your belongings legally throughout Europe otherwise the “gendarmes and polizei” have the power to seize them and our vehicle!) but also we choose and pay to be inspected and accredited by the Removers Ombudsman Scheme for your peace of mind. That way you know that all our permits, operating licences, insurances and facilities etc are up to date.
