Moving to France? Channel moving know the geography of France very well, our staff are very accustomed to driving long distances throughout France, sometimes weekly and we know the idiosyncrasies of French bureaucracy and road traffic laws when it comes to delivering your effects quickly and safely. We also have French speakers in our office which can help in the event of unforeseen problems.

We are not just removers who “sometimes” send a vehicle to France on demand – in our case we send large 18 metre “roadtrains” there on a regular basis, sometimes weekly, sometimes fortnightly – it just depends on the season. This means we can offer you a part load service if you have a smaller volume. Alternatively, if you do have a larger volume, we may also be able to offer you an economical option if you are flexible enough to fit in with our part load schedules.

For all sizes of move, we can offer a dedicated premium service based upon the dates of your choice for collection or delivery, or a more economical flexi load service where you can choose the collection dates but the delivery is set by us. In most cases this needn’t mean waiting any longer for delivery if you give us sufficient notice when booking but it can save you some money!

We cover all areas of France and obviously the French property “hotspots” are served very frequently. Our trucks are specifically chosen to enable the best possible flexibility when delivering to difficult rural properties – some have interchangeable container bodies which means that we can sometimes get to addresses traditional removal vans cannot reach. It’s another reason why it pays to use specialists such as Channelmoving.com – we understand how difficult it can sometimes be!

Q. How long does it take for my effects to get to my new home?
A. Depending on your location in France (it’s a surprisingly big country!) and when we finish loading here in the UK, on a dedicated service we are able to deliver as soon as the next day (Northern France) or the day after for most other locations. In reality, if you are moving on a flexi service, this may not be practical for you but in ALL cases, we give you an ETA before we leave and can update you en route as we can monitor the truck’s progress by satellite.

Q. How can we pay?
A. By all normal means, including credit or debit cards. Please note we do have to make a small admin charge for credit cards only to cover the high cost of credit card handling fees but this is not applicable to debit cards.
